Tiffany Hsu Responds to Issues About Breakup with Ethan Ruan

Italian-Taiwanese model and actress Tiffany Hsu addressed the issues surrounding her breakup with Taiwanese actor Ethan Ruan, admitting that they have broken up and that she 'needed some time alone'.

Three weeks have passed since news of Hsu and Ruan's breakup surfaced on different media platforms. On previous reports, Hsu vaguely confirmed the rumors by denying that she moved back to the apartment she shared with the actor, stating that she only dropped by to pick up her things.

However, the model-actress addressed the issue during the press conference for the Taiwanese PTS series 'It's Time to Wake Up' held on April 23. It was her first public appearance since the breakup news surfaced, and Hsu accepted to answer questions regarding her relationship status with Ruan.

At first, Hsu explained a lot about the new TV series, but there was reportedly an obvious change in her tone and pace when she was asked about her former boyfriend.

During the post-conference interviews, Hsu stated that she has parted ways with Ruan for some time now, claiming that she needed time to be alone. When asked about her current status, she said, "Everybody is bound to go through a period of breaking up. It's to leave room for growth."

Last month, Hsu and Ruan announced that they were on a cool-off stage in their relationship and speculations stated that it was because of the latter's cheating. When asked to respond about the cheating rumor, Hsu merely stated that the question is too personal for her to answer and that she did not want to bother anyone by saying anything.

Hsu also expressed her opinions regarding the speculations of her and Ruan's fans, saying that she does not listen to what they say and does not look at the netizens' comments.

She said, "What's most important to me is focusing on what I am doing. Everyone else's discussions about me are not that important."
