Elaine Ng's teenage daughter, Etta Ng, refuses to come home and sought help from school again following an alleged heated argument between the mother and daughter.

It has just been over a week since Elaine and Etta were united following the police report the latter filed which resulted to Elaine's arrest on abuse charges. Both were required to undergo counseling along with a month-long restraining order from each other before they were united some time earlier this month.

However, reports surfaced that Elaine's 15-year old daughter tried to get help from her teachers in school after an alleged heated argument with her mother. Furthermore, the school personnel informed the former beauty queen that Etta refused to come home.

On April 23, Elaine reportedly went to her daughter's school in hopes to see Etta, but the school did not allow it. Instead, the school personnel arranged for a social worker to talk to Elaine.

During a run-in with the media outside of Etta's school, Elaine became very emotional as she related the argument she had with her daughter. She said, "My daughter told me she wanted to drink beer. I told her that I also needed red wine to help me sleep better, so I let her drink some."

According to Elaine, their argument stemmed from her concern over her daughter's studies as Etta did not attend school for a long time. The mother explained that she asked her daughter if she has done her homework to which Etta replied that her teachers told her not to worry since all her classmates allegedly drank beer.

"I was not happy, so I chided her," Elaine stated. "She went to school today and confided to her teacher. Now, she said she is not coming home."

Furthermore, Elaine criticized the school for not helping her with regard to issues about her daughter. Elaine stated that the school should be discussing matters with her, and allow her to see Etta because she is the child's mother.

"I am a single mom. I need to work and earn money," said Elaine, adding that she is under a lot of stress.

Elaine was later informed by the school principal that they have arranged a temporary place for Etta to stay in.

On the one hand, when asked if her issues with her daughter had something to do with Etta's wish to meet her father, international martial arts actor Jacky Chan, Elaine denied the speculation, saying that it has nothing to do with the current conflict.
