While fans of the royal family are starting to set up camp outside the doors of St. Mary's Hospital on Monday in London, the heavily pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton spent some time hitting the local shops!

The second time mom-to-be dropped by Zara home in London for some last minute-shopping and reportedly bought several home furnishing accessories and a few more items probably for Prince George and the new baby too.

The sales representative who assisted Kate revealed that the Princess looked so calm and great that no one could even tell she was about to give birth. Describing Kate as extremely nice and polite, she said that she was "really impressed."

Kate, who shopped alone for about 45 minutes, bought a doormat, a few navy blue towels and salad servers. One of the staff revealed that she was very interested in their blue sailor-themed items, which included the towels that she bought.

After browsing through the home section, she continued to the kids' department and bought Prince George some blue and white hangers, tumblers and picnic cutlery. She also took a look at the white baskets that might possibly be for the new baby.

Kate, who sported a simple ensemble-jeans, blue and white top and high-heeled wedges and wore minimal makeup-did not go unnoticed in the store, which is actually just a few minutes away from her home.

The shop assistant said that Kate was in the store for quite some time because of the items that she wanted wrapped and there were fellow shoppers staring at her who just could not believe their eyes. The shop assistant added that "the princess was perfectly poised." 

And of course, it does not come as a surprise that Kate didn't leave any clues as to what the gender of the baby is, who is due anytime soon. The royal couple chose to be surprised with Prince George and wants to do the same this time.

A staffer commented that she noticed that the Princess loves the color blue but quickly clarified that she didn't look specifically for blue baby items, which made her say, "she must just like the color."
