It's no secret that Scarlett Johansson's marriage to Ryan Reynolds did not work out, however, the Black Widow actress is now happily married to French journalist Romain Dauriac and credits their strong marriage to having different careers.

Scarlett, who stars in the new Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, talked about her love life in Parade magazine's new issue and while she didn't name her ex-husband, she did discreetly allude the problems that come with dating, as well as marrying a person who comes from the same industry.

She told the magazine that "Acting is a very strange world to be co-existing in." Describing the industry as very "volatile," she explained that being with someone from the same background results in competition like who becomes the more successful one, because actors, she said, relate success to rejection and unpopularity. 

However, she's not saying that her marriage with Roman is all fun and games, it's just that she appreciates having differences and distinct goals and identities from her spouse.

"Marriage takes a lot of work," she said and added that it takes a man who is confident not only in your love for each other but also in what he has going on in his own life and career. "He has to be in a field completely different from yours," she advised.

Scarlett divulged further and said that though her husband searches for recognition in his job, that has totally nothing to do with hers, they still have some common interests that they bond over like going out and dancing, as well as other simple things like staying at home, watching House Hunters International and eating Thai food.

"We are interested in each other's worlds," she said.

The couple, who welcomed their first daughter in September of last year and named Rose Dorothy, also shared that they're slowly building their own world together. Scarlett gushed about his daughter and said that she cannot contain her joy and excitement when she makes her daughter smile and laugh. "If only you could actually bottle that and carry it around," she sighed.

Scarlett and Ryan wed back in 2008 and divorced in 2011. Ryan went on to marry Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, while Scarlett exchanged vows with Roman in October 2014.
