After being proven to be abusing drugs in several incidents, Korean American entertainer Amy is sentenced for deportation and will be leaving South Korea some time soon.
Previously, it was reported that Amy was found guilty of abusing drugs such as zolpidem and propofol through a period of several years. Her offenses resulted to court-mandated orders which included 24-hour-long mandatory drug treatment lectures as well as a two-year prohibition period.

However, the entertainer was told to pay a fine of 5,000,000 KRW after her reported abuse of the drug zolpidem.
Now, the court has decided to have Amy deported back to the United States, a sentence which her lawyer disagreed to, stating that it was too much of a punishment and that it goes against Article 37 Section 2 of the South Korean constitution.
Amy's lawyer said, "Upon Amy's request to reinstate her Korean citizenship, she has been living diligently as a civil citizen of Korea." He added, "The case of deporting her from the country is too severe."
On the other hand, during a recent interview with the media, Amy stated that since she was told by the court to pay for abusing drugs, she has been reflecting upon her actions and that she regretted what she did.
The entertainer also assured the public that she is turning a new leaf, saying, "I am remorseful of my acts and trying to live a new life."
She also aired her grievances with regard to the sentence she was given, confirming that she will be deported from South Korean. She called the sentence 'absurd'.
"As a Korean, I want to live with my family," Amy said sadly, adding that due to her desperation, she was living a daily life crying and consuming alcohol.
Despite her statement, there are those who criticized her. Netizens in particular harshly commented for Amy to leave. One user wrote, "Don't want to see her," while others said that she could have done better.
