Kris Humphries, the ex-husband of the queen of reality television, Kim Kardashian, was given an unpleasant reminder of what life was like in the midst of the famous family's drama when he made a bad move and tweeted about Bruce Jenner's tell-all with ABC's Diane Sawyer.

After the interview, the outpour of support and love from celebrities for Bruce were overwhelming. However, Kris seemed to feel otherwise and wrote to his 900,000 followers, "Man, I'm glad I got out when I did," followed by the hashtag #Gottadoyou.

The NBA player's tweet was immediately met with harsh responses from fans who scolded him for being extremely insensitive. 

In an attempt to do some damage control, he tried to explain that he is in full support of Bruce, and wrote another tweet: "I have and always will support Bruce hence #Gottadoyou." He added that he realized his first tweet was too vague and apologized for the way his message came across.

And just in case fans don't buy his explanation, the 30-year old  Washington Wizard again tweeted the hashtag #fullysupportbruce in a new tweet.

However, fans are doubtful of his true intentions, with one straight-up commenting that he's "not buying it."

Another commenter gave him a reality check and reminded him that he didn't got out when he did as he was the one who got left by Kim and the rest of their family. In all caps, "YOU GOT LEFT BRO. THEY LEFT YOU," the Twitter user said.

Kris and Kim started dating in October 2010, became engaged in May 2011 and tied the knot in August of the same year. The couple had a highly publicized fairy tale-like wedding, with some even calling the wedding a publicity stunt to further promote the Kardashian brand. 

On Oct. 31, 2011, after just 72 days of marriage, Kim announced that she has filed for divorce from the basketball player. After a lengthy and bitter legal battle, the former couple settled and their divorce was finalized on June 3, 2013.
