If some companies have a daycare center for employees who have little children they could not leave at home, as China's population ages, perhaps the government could also look into having a similar facility for employees with old parents to take care of.
With the country's one-child policy, an adult child is left with the responsibility of caring for an old or sick parent if the other parent had died since the son or daughter has no other sibling to pass the responsibility to.

Due to lack of such facility, some Chinese have to devise ways to find a solution to the situation. Lu Xincai from Zhejiang does it by bringing his 84-year-old mother to work. Lu's father died earlier this year, while his wife works in another city, leaving him with the responsibility of taking care of the old woman who has Alzheimer's.
Netizens have noticed Lu who drives his motorcycle to work four kilometers. So his mother would not fall from the motorcycle, he ties their hips together with a rope and drives slowly. He also talks to her while making the four-kilometer trip.
Fortunately for Lu, the company where he works provided a room where his mother could stay while he does his job as security officer. He checks on her every hour and talks to her to ensure she is relaxed and does not wander.
Explaining the reason for the tender loving care he gives his mother, Lu said, "I was an apple in my mum's eye, and now she's my apple!" quotes Shanghaiist.
Other Chinese use different forms of transportation, such as a handcart, to bring their ageing parents around, which a man from Shandong uses to bring his 86-year-old mother to the amusement park. He was noticed by Chinese netizens in October.
