(Photo : Reuters) Vietnam's Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh (L), Philippines' Foreign Minister Albert del Rosario (C) and Laos' Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith (R) arrive at the foreign ministers' meeting for the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 26, 2015.
With the recent discovery of China building infrastructures on the heavily contested Spratlys, the Philippines is now urging other Southeast Asia countries to take steps in stopping China's aggressive land reclamation actions.
The South China Sea still remains disputed and China has stirred the pot even more with their visible actions on Spratlys Island. Unwilling to give up the fight for the Island, the Philippines has called on other Southeast Asian countries to help in halting what China is doing.

The archipelago warns that failure on the matter will see Beijing take overall control of the area. The cries for help seem to fall on deaf ears though.
Malaysia's foreign minister commented that the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations will likely avoid any confrontation with China. Instead, they will continue negotiating with Beijing on a possible code of conduct that will set the rules for behavior in the area.
Philippine Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario said in a meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers that if China's constructions of artificial islands on reefs that belong to other countries, then Beijing will be able to claim as much as 85 percent of the sea.
He urged the group to band together against China who have threatened to bring military powers into the region, break the rights of other states, and damage the marine environment.
He also warned that China is purposefully mulling about the code of conduct talks, and will most likely finish their reclamation activities before the code is finished.
Through the talks, del Rosario has pleaded with ASEAN to maintainits leadership and show the world that it has the authority and the will to resolve the situation.
ASEAN though has kept a cautious stance regarding to China's activities as the country stands as a key trading partner in the region.
