Suspended Anchorman Brian Williams' Fate With NBC

NBC's internal investigation has revealed that suspended anchorman, Brian Williams is believed to have fabricated more stories than his claims that his helicopter was hit by enemy in Iraq in 2003.
The New York Times reports other misrepresented stories include claims that he was in Tahrir Square, Cairo during the Arab Spring in 2011, about being around during a 2006 missile attack in northern Israel, and how he was able to get a small piece from the helicopter that crashed during a mission against Osama bin Laden in 2011.

NBC News later found out that during the Arab Spring, Williams was actually reporting "from a balcony overlooking Tahrir Square" and not inside the Square.
Meanwhile, sources tell the Daily News that despite the negative reports against William's integrity as a reporter, Andrew Lack, head of NBC News is considering getting Brian Williams back in the "Nightly News." Lack is William's long-time friend and has just returned to NBC in early March as chairman of NBC News. As head of the News department, he has the final say regarding William's fate at NBC and he will not decide until NBC's investigation into William's claims as a reporter has been completed.
According to sources, Williams said he will not leave NBC unless he's fired. In February NBC gave Williams a six-month suspension without pay after the anchorman continuously retold the story that he was in a helicopter that was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) in the Iraq War, turned out to be false.
Last week, investigations by NBC News found 11 more incidents when Williams had embellished his reports and that NBC's findings were being leaked to pressure Williams to step down. According to reports, this has made Lack angry who believes that William's viewers wants him back and feels that the problem with Williams merely lies with the media and not the public.
Various reports indicate that Williams has a $50 million contract with NBC News and if he resigns, he may walk away with $20 to $30 million.
