Nicholas Kallsen, who appeared in 1990's show "Glory Days" as Angelina Jolie's husband reportedly died of an overdose in Thailand on April 27, at the age of 48.
Kallsen also co-starred with Brad Pitt, who was still unknown at that time, in "Glory Days", a television show about four friends going separate ways after high school. Kallsen attended The Browning School in Manhattan and allegedly also planned to audition for a role in "Thelma & Louis" but he overslept and missed the audition. It was why Brad got the role which instantly made him famous.
Kallsen's last movie was the "The Seventh Coin," a 1993 independent film starring Peter O'Toole and directed by Dror Soref. The film is about a retired British soldier named Emil who collects ancient coins and Biblical artifacts. He travels to Jerusalem to find the last, seventh coin that will complete his collection of King Herod's coins. While on his search, the soldier loses his mind believing he is the reincarnation of King Herod himself. The coin was in the possession of two teenagers - one an American tourist named Ronnie and the other is an Arab pickpocket named, Salim. As Emil later went on a murderous rampage, the two teenagers must avoid him while protecting their coin.
The actor went to Browning, an exclusive boys' school where John D. Rockefeller Jr., Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, Howard Dean and Jamie Dimon studied. He also used to frequent Dorrian's Red Hand on Second Avenue in the company of Cosima von Bulow, Cartier heir Ralph Destino Jr. and singer Sasha Lazard.
After news of his death circulated, tributes were paid to Kallsen on social media. Kallsen's friend, restaurateur Michael Dorrian wrote on Facebook as a tribute to the actor saying that he will always remember the good times they have shared and is saddened that a big part of his life is now gone. Someone also posted a clip of a 1988 commercial for Levis 501 jeans where Kallsen appeared in.
