South Korean Chinese boy group EXO's Chinese member Huang Zi Tao, more popularly known among their fans as Tao, posted a vague message which says, "I'm sorry. Grateful," on his official Weibo page, leaving fans confused about his status with EXO.

On April 26, Tao took to Weibo to communicate with his fans for the first time since news that he is leaving EXO surfaced. It is the first time that he will be speaking up since Sina, a Chinese media outlet, reported that he has allegedly agreed to leave the band through a story which featured Tao's father's interview.

The 22-year old idol wrote said message on his micro blog, leaving his fans confused about his position with regard to his status with the boy group.

The reactions of the fans were divided after Tao uploaded the message with some speculating that the singer allegedly vaguely confirmed his departure from the group. Furthermore, others interpreted the meaning of his message as his apology to the fans as well as his acknowledgement to SM Entertainment, the talent outfit which fosters the career of EXO as a whole.

However, there are fans who also left words of encouragement on Tao's status on Weibo. One user wrote, "Don't apologize. It's okay," while others still asked him not to leave EXO.

Tao has not spoken further about what he means about his post.

On the other hand, it was revealed that Tao will be attending his birthday celebration which will be hosted by his biggest fan base in China on May 2.

On April 27, Monday, Tao's fan site 'BaiduTaoBar' announced the event through Weibo by posting an invitation to his supporters. The invite states that the fan base will be holding a party on said date which is also his 22^nd birthday.

In addition, fans consider his birthday this year as a special event since it is the first time he is celebrating it since coming back to China. More than 150 fans will be attending said event and his attendance has been confirmed.
