Star Trek actress Alice Eve has backtracked and apologized after posting a message, what many people deemed as an "attack" on Bruce Jenner.

In a statement she provided to People, she said that she deeply apologizes for offending people. "I support equal rights and equal dignity for all," she said and added that she has deep compassion for and is in full support of Bruce Jenner.

A lot of people, from all over the world have expressed their support for Bruce, the patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan and former "World's Greatest Athlete," after he bravely admitted on national television that he identifies as a woman and has begun his gender reassignment treatment.

However, Alice thought differently and expressed her views on her official Instagram page. "Nope," she said, explaining that if Bruce were a woman, he would not have been a hero but instead an unknown, frustrated athlete because "women cannot compete in the decathlon."

She accused the father of Kendall and Kylie Jenner of playing at being a woman, while enjoying the benefits of being a man. She asked, "Do you have a vagina? Are you paid less than men? Then, you are a woman."

The 33-year old actress who found fame for starring in blockbuster movies such as Men In Black and Sex And the City, have angered her fans, who promised to unfollow her on her social media pages for being "transphobic" and "transmisogynistic."

After the harsh comments, Alice attempted to do some damage control by engaging with her detractors before she decided to finally delete her two previous posts. She explained that while she understands that the struggles transgenders experience are "horrific and unique," she also wants to support equal rights, which she says is a cause she strongly believes in.
