South Korean entertainer Kim Na Young and her fiancé held a secret wedding ceremony in Jeju Island on April 27, Monday, surprising her fans.

A report surfaced that Kim tied the knot with her fiancé in a private ceremony held in Korea's famous Jeju Island on Monday. Said ceremony is said to be attended by only 10 of the couple's closest family members.

Furthermore, local media reports revealed that Kim and her husband will be having their honeymoon in Jeju Island as well.

Kim's managing company confirmed the news and explained that the wedding really took place in private. The company also apologized for the benefit of her fans.

Her agency released an official statement saying, " We presume that many people were surprised and puzzled by Kim Na Young's sudden wedding news. Although it makes sense to have made a prior announcement for this blissful event, it has already taken place in private, and we would want to take this opportunity to send our apologies."

Furthermore, the company stated that Kim and her husband aleady met each other's families in Seoul prior to the wedding. Both families are revealed to be very supportive of their children's decision to get married.

As for the private ceremony, the company revealed that it was decided through an agreement between Kim and her husband's families.

Kim also released a formal statement regarding her wedding through her agency. She said,  "Since college, I have always thought of having a meaningful wedding that was not bound to a conventional format."

The entertainer also stated that she and her non-showbiz husband agreed to keep a low profile with regard to their relationship as well as the wedding ceremony, her reason being their thoughts that 'it is the first of many days to come that they will be focusing on each other'.

"By remembering the first step we're taking today, I will try to show the best in my life," says Kim.

Fans of the entertainer left words of encouragement and well-wishes to her and her husband through different social networking platforms after the news surfaced.
