EXO Breaks Their Own Record by Bagging their 15th Win on MTV’s ‘The Show’

South Korean Chinese boy group EXO breaks their own record by taking their 15th music show award for their song 'Call Me Baby' on the recent episode of MTV's 'The Show'.

EXO proves their popularity once again bagging their 15th music show win in MTV's 'The Show' on April 28, Tuesday - the most they've ever won during their promotional season. The group has had straight wins since the beginning of their promotion of their second studio album 'EXODUS' through performances of their title track 'Call Me Baby'.

Since the group is busy with various activities, members Kim Junmyeon, more popularly known as Suho, and Oh Sehun stayed behind to accept their award during the Tuesday edition of the show.

Suho delivered a thank you speech during the show, expressing the group's gratitude to their managing company, SM Entertainment, their SM Town seniors particularly Super Junior-M member Zhoumi, their attending staff and the other eight members of EXO who were not present.

"Thank you so much. I love you!" Suho said.

Sehun, who is the youngest member of the group also expressed his thanks to EXO-L, EXO's official fan club, giving them credit for their support. He said, "To the members who are watching us on television from somewhere, this win is for them, too."

In just a span of weeks since the group began promoting 'Call Me Baby', they have taken a total of 15 awards excluding achievements on music charts. The song, which was released in Korean and Chinese, were able to take the top spots on various music charts both local and international just hours upon its release.

Furthermore, EXO's new song made it to Billboard's Hot 100 chart for breaking the record of the most K-Pop albums sold in the US alone in just a span of one week. EXO also made it to Canada's Hot 100 chart, being the second Korean act to make it to the list following PSY's 'Gangnam Style'.
