Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou avoided talking about his coming child and his wife, Australian-Taiwanese model-actress Hannah Quinlivan during the press conference he attended on Monday, April 27.
Since the celebrity couple revealed that they are expecting their first child, the attention of the public has been on them, awaiting more news about the new family. However, Chou and Quinlivan, who is speculated to be around five months pregnant, refused to comment about how long the latter has been pregnant and also did not want to comment about the baby's gender, saying that they want it to be a surprise.

The 36-year old singer-actor also avoided talking about his family when he attended the press conference for the Original Music Competition on April 27. According to media reports, during the 12-minute speech that Chou delivered, which was about encouraging youth to bring out the creativity in them as well as the artist's past experiences, he did not mention anything about his wife nor talked about their coming child.
Moreover, it is said that after his speech, Chou immediately left the venue, giving no chance for the media to question him about other things. This led to speculations that Chou is doing every measure not to reveal anything to the media.
On the other hand, Kuo Yuan Yuan, Quinlivan's good friend, revealed that the latter is often going through morning sickness and that her appetite is not good.
"Now she's gotten better, as she's put on a few kilograms and likes to drink her favorite pumpkin soup," said Kuo during a run-in with the press.
Kuo, who did not want to reveal the gender of Chou and Quinlivan's baby, also chose to buy red or blue-colored baby things as gifts while Quinlivan chose to buy yellow which led to speculations that she might be expecting a baby boy.
