However, the actress-model's stepmother reportedly revealed that she has never been in good terms with Quinlivan when she was younger especially when she married the latter's father. According to media reports, Quinlivan, who was 10 years old during that time, has never shown her stepmother a "good face."
Furthermore, the stepmother allegedly stated that the 21-year old actress-model, who is also the wife of Taiwanese superstar, Jay Chou, acted very hostilely towards her and thought that she will "snatch" her father.
In addition to her revelation, the stepmother reportedly revealed that when Quinlivan was in high school, she had been very rebellious and that their neighbors spoke negatively about her. Media outlets state that the stepmother told Quinlivan's father to pay more attention to his daughter, adding that she did not expect her husband to be holding a grudge against her and filed a divorce because of the reasons she cited.
However, Quinlivan's father and stepmother stayed married and tried to set aside their disagreements for the sake of their young son.
"This is a difficult role," Quinlivan's stepmother stated regarding her relationship. "No matter what, I will not intentionally badmouth her (Quinlivan)."
She then expressed her wish for her son to have a happy life with both of his parents.
On the other hand, Quinlivan has not given her reaction to the statements that her stepmother released and has taken to Facebook to tell the public to give her family some space.
