Bizarre as it might sound, there's this app called "Happify" that claims to help you gain happiness by using the "science of happiness."
That plus something called "emotional fitness."
Happify co-founder Ofer Leidner says Happify is a digital tool that offers science-based games and activities to boost a user's level of happiness.

"The idea here and the innovation about Happify is, start thinking about your emotional fitness as important as your physical fitness," he said.
The Happify website is at http://my.happify.com/.
Its headline reads "The science of happiness is here. Ready for the happier life you deserve?"
Happify says its happiness games and activities are scientifically designed and are based on a decade's worth of research by psychologists and neuroscientists from academic institutions around the world.
Happify's research suggests that happiness is "a combination of how satisfied you are with your life (for example, finding meaning in your work) and how good you feel on a day-to-day basis."
Happify points out that its proprietary framework is designed to train a user's brain and help him build skills for lasting happiness, "delivering effective and measurable results."
More controversially, Happify claims that its process works. It says users will see a significant improvement in their level of happiness, with increases in positive emotions and life satisfaction.
Happify claims 86 percent of its users report they are happier after just two months. Happify has reported over 200,000 users since its launch in 2013.
