Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is set to design his underwear line for men's underwear brand Frigo, reports said on Thursday.

Called Frigo Crown designed by 50, the line will be launched this summer. "My inspiration for this line came from the idea of the hierarchy of living, which is why you will see the crown as a constant throughout the designs," Jackson was quoted as saying by Women's Wear Daily. Jackson's collection will also offer T-shirts.

"50 is a dream partner for Frigo, and we couldn't be happier that he is designing his own line. He is amazingly creative and his attention to detail is immaculate, which will be transparent in his collection," said Mathias Ingvarsson, the brand's founder.

Frigo was launched in 2013 and is known for high-performance fabrics. The company's line, Frigo RevolutionWear, features a patented design and technology called Frigo Zone, which "comprises a pouch and the Frigo soft lock adjustment system," according to its website.  

One brand that also offers underwear made from high-performance material is Canadian luxury brand Naked Brand Group, Inc. The company takes pride in its Micromodal Boxer Brief, which grew in popularity thanks to the Spider-Man franchise. According to The Star, Spider-Man sported the boxer briefs under his suit.

"They actually went to Nordstrom and checked out everything on the floor and ours was the only one that worked," said company founder and president Joel Primus in the report. The production team bought 75 pairs for Andrew Garfield, who played Spider-Man, and Jamie Foxx, who played the film's villain, Electro.

Micromodal fabrics are microfiber version of the Modal fabric and is characterized by unparalleled softness, according to The Underwear Expert. Underwear maker Audimas also described the fabric to be "featherlight" and is made from natural raw materials like beech wood. It also doesn't harden after consecutive washing.
