Elton John's career has lasted for more than 50 years and he has performed hundreds, or even thousands of times all over the world. However, the famed singer, who is a father to two boy toddlers, is now thinking of clearing up his schedule a bit so he can spend more quality time with his family.

On his website, the 68-year old "Candle in the Wind" singer that his upcoming concert in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will be the last one in that area and explained briefly that he simply wants to be with his family more and reduce the time he spends touring.

Describing time as "precious," he said that he wants to be with his sons as they are growing up extremely fast. Tellingly, his tour has been named, "The Final Curtain."

It is not Elton's first time to perform in Sioux Falls. He has been there in October of 2007 for his Rocket Man Tour.

Aside from Elton, this will also be his bandmates' last performance in the area, including guitarist Davey Johnstone, dummer Nigel Olsson, bassist Matt Bussonette, percussionist John Mahon and keyboardst Kim Bullard.

Elton shares two adorable sons with his partner David Furnish, 52, four-year old Zachary and two-year old Elijah.

In a report by People magazine, it was said that Sir Elton is really insistent to wind down explaining that Zachary is about to start school in September, which is going to result in a really big change in their lives, especially that they have all been travelling as a family whenever he's touring.

However, they've decided to lessen Elton's tours and are committed on spending time as a family "off the road."

Elton and David finally tied the knot in December 2014, 9 years after their domestic partnership ceremony. Their two sons served as ring bearers. Among the notable guests are Liz Hurley, David and Victoria Beckham and Hugh Grant.
