The Chinese star Li Bingbing has been delighted that this year's theme of Met Gala is about China. She also added in the interview that she wants to have a family.

This year's theme "China through the Looking Glass" has delighted Li Bingbing, where she even pointed out the wealth of her country's history and how it can be misunderstood in America, according to Yahoo News.

Li Bingbing said that she met some Americans, which thought that Chinese women still have "feet binding" while the country undergo a tremendous change.

She then clarified that women in China nowadays are independent, hard-working and capable.

Recently, Hollywood has opened its opportunity for Chinese stars, which in 2014 Li Bingbing played as a Chinese scientist in a blockbuster film "Transformers: Age of Extinction." The movie has a bigger gross of $320 million at the box office in China as compared to the $245 million it made in the United States.

Li explained that Hollywood "purposely" include actors from China and include Chinese outfits and culture as they want more viewers to watch the films from her country. Furthermore, the actress also disclosed that for now she is searching for love. She specifically said, according to reports, that she is looking for a husband and wants to spend her time mostly with her family, parents and to herself.

Aside from Li Bingbing, other China's top film stars, including Gong Li, joined Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and other Hollywood stars in the event.

On the other Met Gala news, Irish Times reported that Liu Wen, who is considered as the first Chinese supermodel, has stated that she is proud of her culture and added that the event is not just a party, but an "art."

"I don't think this is a party, this is all about art and I've been here almost like six times so every time is different for me because each year they are doing different things," said Wen.

Wen added that this year's Met Gala is special as the event focuses on Chinese.
