The LG G4: Great Camera, But Not Greatest Market Choice

LG recently released the LG G4, their newest flagship smartphone, and it has turned heads, but not for the reasons you expect.
A follow-up to the LG G3, the G4 does have a better hardware than its predecessors. With a 538-pixel density packed in a 1440-by-2560-resolution, 5.5-inch Quantum screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, resulting to extremely vibrant color reproduction, Engadget called it more nuanced compared to the eye-searing renditions on the latest Samsung phones. It has Lollipop 5.1 out of the box, something users are very much excited to hear.

When it comes to software, LG is starting to become better than how it did with former models. The user interface is a lot less crowded and is more responsive, and it is a lot more closer to the interface of the Nexus line, but still with signature LG apps, which of course you can choose to remove like in the G3.
The new encasement seems like a hit-or-miss for some people, since a genuine leather back might easily entice others but can be a bit of a bother for some. Good thing though is that the new LG flagship comes with the normal cover, sporting a hammered metal look.
However, these are all necessary upgrades to a highly usuccessful smartphone. What's surprising in this new flagship is the camera that now has f/1.8 aperture lens, which can now compete with the camera of the iPhone, as stated by the Wall Street Journal. The bigger aperture allows better nighttime photography and carries the features of an SLR, something most casual photographers will be excited to see.
A more detailed specification is available at GSM Arena, and though the LG G4 has only been released in South Korea, Android users are rejoicing in the continuing upgrade of their beloved units. The G4 is an understated phone with all the great features that everyone clamors for, but LG will only know if people will buy once the first units arrive abroad.
