During Tesla's earnings teleconference, Elon Musk finally revealed as to when Tesla will start producing the much awaited Tesla Model 3 and what it will look like. Furthermore, Musk gave the public a release schedule, which is not subject to change in the following months.

The Verge reported, Tesla Model 3 will be on March 2016. Provided how sleek the Model S and the forthcoming Model X are, it is said that there is going to be a lot of difficulties to make the design of Model 3 stunning. The public should take note that it will be 20 percent smaller than the Model S.

When it comes to the launch window, Musk explained that Tesla will release Model 3 in 2017. He did confirm the announcement, although, the launch window may be possible in the latter part of 2017. Tesla has a horrible history of releasing its cars a little late though; however, car enthusiasts are hoping that the launch will not be postponed into the early to middle of 2018.

For those new with the Model 3, the car stands as the key player in Musk's grand plan to bring reasonably priced electric cars to the majority. According to reports, the Tesla Model S is unbelievably affordable nd there are not enough words to describe it. Same thing with the impending Model X, the Tesla crossover car is scheduled for release towards the end of 2015, in limited numbers though.

Extreme Tech reported that Tesla aims to price the Model 3 at around $35,000. Tesla will not have self-directed driving, and it most likely will not break the 270-mile range of Model S. Although, Musk stated 200 miles as a possible target, it is still way beyond the Lea and rivaling lower-cost car models offer. The company always offered more options, though it has a small gasoline engine that occasionally help power the car and charges the batteries, which makes it like a plug-in hybrid.
