Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan voiced out his support in death penalty for drug offenders.
The actor-comedian said that drugs only hurt thousands of young children, as well as their families, and these people should be punished accordingly, as reported by BBC News.

The actor's son, Jaycee Chan, has recently been incarcerated for six months, along with Taiwanese actor Ko Kai, for smoking marijuana. The singer-actor should be facing death penalty, but as Inquisitr pointed out, there is a possibility that he will dodge being penalized and go out with nothing but a slap on the wrist.
However, the singer-actor also faced charges that go beyond drug use, since he also provided a sanctuary where users could abuse drugs.
According to reports, the younger Chan was asked to pay 2,000 yuan and had admitted that what he did was wrong and that he is ready to face the consequences of his actions.
The actor felt ashamed of the incident and was utterly shocked. He said that he only found out now that his son was still a boy who needed to be doted on.
It was in 2014 when the Beijing police arrested over 7,800 people, charging them with drug use, including actor Gao Hu, which the Daily Mail UK called as the biggest crackdown in China in 20 years.
It should be noted that Jackie Chan is not renouncing his son for doing drugs; actually, far from it, the actor said that he would now look after his son, who hopefully is sorry enough, to not use illegal drugs anymore. There are over two million registered drug users in China, including heroin, ketamine, meth, and marijuana users.
This is in stark contrat to the US, where marijuana is slowly getting a foothold in the system, with the recreational drug being legalized in its different states.
