Cloud Competition gets Another Forerunner with Cloudike

Dropbox and Amazon have found a new competition with ASD Technologies, a Korean-Russian company who swore to take on the global market by storm.
Unlike Dropbox, ASD Technologies doesn't offer personal cloud technologies, but instead offers wholesale "Cloudike" solution to IT and telco clients.

With Cloudike, clients can create their own brand of cloud services for consumer consumption.
Lee Sun-ung, President of ASD Technologies, said that their decision to enter the cloud service market was nerve-wrecking.
ASD Technologies was torn between their debilitating costs and the loss of their valuable subscribers if they didn't expand their market.
He said that the desire for the telco industry is to launch personal cloud services that will keep subscribers subscribing to them.
Then it hits them: If someone can offer clients a stable and affordable solution to build a service, then that will be an enticing catch.
ASD Technologies saves a tenth of the budget required to build a personal cloud service.
Lee explained that if a large company allows clients to have cloud services for two years with US$ 4.87 million, Cloudlike allows clients to start in three to six months with just US$292,540 to US$585,080.
He also said that their main targets are Eastern Europe and East Asia because those places haven't been penetrated by Amazon or Dropbox.
ASD Technologies has been providing Cloudike to MegaFon, a well-known Russian telecommunications company and Vestel, a Turkish electronic company.
ASD Technologies was founded by Lee after he departed from his former company and met co-founders Max Azarov and Dmitry Malin.
The company's income came from each new subscriber that was acquired by their retail clients, who offers Cloudike based services.
Lee said that this is caused by their high-quality back-end developers which they will use to successfully expand to the global market.
