According to a material supplier for the statue, it costs about 120 million yuan. The unfinished statue is dismantled, but who is responsible for the money loss?
Recently, the executive vice secretary-general of Henan Soong Ching-ling Foundation Wang Xiaopeng said to the "Daily Economic News" reporter, that the foundation was under the investigation of the province's joint investigation, and did not accept any media interview. Then the reporter applied for access to data and interviews and so on to the joint investigation, but they refused.
On November 6, 2011, the woman statue which wore a qipao and a shawl, located in the intersection of Jiuru east road and Longhu south outer ring road in Zhengzhou City in Henan Province, attracted much attention. Some netizens thought is was Soong Ching-ling, but staff of the foundation said in an interview that "the statue is not Soong Ching-ling, but the daughter of the Yellow River".
