The big announcement happened during the Microsoft's Ignite conference held in Chicago. The statement mentioned above shows that Microsoft Company has been changing the way it develops its software. They are planning to focus more on improving their services to the user.
There will be no Windows 11 and the company is still thinking of the next level for OS beyond Windows 10. The company has been trying to avoid using the word "Windows 9" and decided to jump on Windows 10 as a way to show distance from the previous OS. Though by doing such change, they are having conflicts with their consumers.
According to an article from BBC News, every three years, Microsoft spends time to plan and decide for the future of the next OS. Developers also need to find out what the world wants from the company to make sure that they are developing useful marketable products.
Microsoft marketing team uses a huge amount of money to market the product to people and make them buy their new version. Marketing strategies help them convince people that it's one of the most important thing need to have.
Despite the great risk that people might not like or understand their moves, Microsoft believes that it's a positive step for them. They are working hard to produce new features and updates on their products. One question still needs an answer on how corporate customers will take this change and how can they provide support to them. This changes greatly affects the usual cycle of the company every time they have new updates.
Though Windows 10 will be the last, Mircrosoft officials stressed it doesn't mean that it's the end of everything and it will be left behind. They promise that it is the start of the better program for using, shifting things into higher level.
