Windows 10 Aero Glass Theme: Microsoft Does A And B Test To Make The Comeback Possible In Build 10074

Windows Vista was launch by Microsoft in 2006; they provided the new operating system with all types of eye candy like Aero Glass, Flip 3D and Live Taskbar Thumbnails. Aero Glass was created to make the Windows experience more attractive by adding a glass-like, translucent design for windows frames, the Taskbar and other surfaces. Aero stands for Authentic, Energetic, Reflective and Open.

Yahoo Tech Reported that Aero Glass is in Windows 7 though it was discontinued in Windows 8 as it was already outdated. According to the Director of Program Management for the Windows User Experience for Windows 8 in his blog published in 2012 titled "Creating the Windows 8 User Experience Described Microsoft's Reasoning":

These stylish features signified the design representing the abilities of the new digital tools used to render and create them and sensibilities of the time. This style of simulating glass or aluminum as faux-realistic materials on the screen seems cheesy and dated now, however, it was still en vogue. Since the first launch of Windows 8, a fairly considerable group of Windows users has been shouting for the come back of the Aero Glass effect to the Windows operating system.

According to Tech Republic, the icons are still plane in Build 10074, there are clues that some eye candy will give in Windows 10 when it crafts summer this year. In Gable Aul's announcement about Build 10074's release date, Aul, who leads the Date & Fundamentals Team in the Operating Systems Groups, characterized the graphical developments:

For most Windows insiders who wants the Aero Glass back, they are working out how to make the return possible and are testing out things. They are doing a few A and B test with this build. There will be 50 percent who will view normal transparency on the taskbar and start menu, while the rest will see blur effect on the taskbar and start menu.
