It is modeled after a text-based therapy platform that targets almost 45 million people who suffered from different mental issues every year. Using an iOS app or the web, users can send unlimited anonymous messages to a therapist to find out what you are going through.
Talkspace will be powered by Watson's super computer and this application will be capable of finding the best therapist that fit your needs. Through analyzing the anonymous text messages sent by a particular user to a therapist, the application will be able to gather insights regarding the user's style and emotional stress, this is one of the latest update from Techrunch article.
After Watson's Personality Insights API analyzes everything, Talkspace therapist can now give health feedback during the initial consultation of the patient. This application will create a perfect match for the patient and therapist to get the best result of the therapy.
Talkspace will be also used as a foundation for a cognitive system using the company's Natural Language Processing technology that develops a system that can give direction to it and capable of giving clinical decision-making support for the Doctors treating the patience in the platform they created.
Now everyone will agree on this idea, but some people may say that it is something to look forward to in the future. It's a good thing that people with mental problems will find comfort on their therapists.
The big project was declared during the World of Watson held in New York City. Talkspace is another move to the growing status of computing technologies in the field of health care.
