On the other hand, 'Hercules' has had US $11 million on Friday while they are expecting a total gross of US $29 million over the weekend.  This has been directed by Brett Ratner. However, it has been reported that this movie has been viewed by an overwhelming number of people in Russia.

The opening in Russia sold a whooping US $2.6 million and is expected to sell more over the weekend. It is one of the highest sales for an opening day ever- recorded this year.

According to reports, the movie 'Hercules' cost at least US $100 million to produce making it much more of a financial risk. 'Lucy' only needed US $ 40 million to be produced.

'Lucy' stars Morgan Freeman and Scarlet Johansson. The plot is about a woman who has ingested a drug that gave her extraordinary abilities. Freeman plays this scientist who wants to learn more about that drug and helps Johansson figure out what changes are happening to her.

According to critics, 'Lucy' has been given a rating of at least 60%. The action-thriller film has had a lot of praises from viewers and from movie critics. One comment is from Wall Street Journal saying that the movie is gleefully bold, visually adventurous, strikingly concise and often funny. The movie is said to be 100% entertaining and heart-pounding.

Another movie launched together with 'Lucy' and 'Hercules' is Rob Reiner's independent rom-con "And So it Goes". The movie stars Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. Reports say that it is failing to get as much audience as they expected. They are hoping it would have a revenue of at least US $4 million over the weekend.
