Howard Stern Asks for One Last Kiss from David Letterman

Howard Stern only wanted one thing from his long-time friend, TV host and comedian, David Letterman, when he dropped by to make an appearance for the last time on his late night show: a big, fat kiss.

The 61 year-old radio host of Sirius XM Radio, who has guested on the "Late Show with David Letterman" more than 20 times, sat down once again to talk about Letterman's retirement and to reveal how often he fails to invite him to get-togethers.

Talking to the audience, Stern revealed that Letterman did not invite him to a dinner with fellow guest and host Don Rickles.

The comedian asked Letterman if Don Rickles is going to be a guest later on the show and said, "Dave does not know I know this. Dave invited him to dinner after the show. I wasn't invited."

Harboring no bad feelings, Stern was in a forgiving mood and simply asked Letterman to give him a hug, before trying to give him a big smooch. Letterman however, was quick to push the America's Got Talent judge away from his face, and was only given a small peck, just on the side of his lips.

A little bit later, after Stern teased the witty host about his article in Rolling Stone, where he revealed that he would move to Montana after his retirement, the actor blatantly asked Letterman for another kiss.

"Kiss me," he ordered Letterman but sadly, he was denied a kiss.

Letterman's retirement on May 20 marks the end of the longest late-night hosting career in the history of American TV network.

The long-time host, who's earned 16 Emmys, announced that he knew it was time for him to retire after Jay Leno decided to retire from his The Late Night Show after 22 years.

"I still enjoy what I'm doing," Letterman said. "But I think it's not what you want at 11:30 anymore."
