(Photo : Reuters) Nintendo is bringing original IP to mobiles through a partnership with DeNA.
During a presentation of financials, Nintendo just announced that they will release five games for the iOS, but not before March 2017.
Last March, news came out that gaming giant Nintendo was creating games to be played on the iOS, featuring signature characters, driving fans of both platforms very excited. As it turned out, the Japanese company will launch a whopping sum of five games, and as 9to5Mac reported, it has a valid reason for doing so. Nintendo argues that simply transferring games from their consoles unto iPhones and iPads gives utter disregard for their differing play styles, and the game giant intends to make every title a hit.

Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata also referred to the small number as a means of focusing into each game without compromising quality and at the same time demonstrating the company's commitment in making games for smart devices, as reported by The Verge.
So what will become of Nintendo? Purists need not worry since the company still plans to create their own consoles well into the future; in fact, they have an upcoming platform carrying the codename "NX" and is still under development.
Fans can also breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Hideki Konno, known for the extremely popular game "Mario Kart 8," is spearheading the creation of games for the Apple operating system.
It should also be noted that the announcement alone of the Apple-Nintendo partnership made stocks of the handheld gaming company rise to an astoishing 21%, as reported by IT Pro Portal, the best stock price Nintendo had since June 2011.
The increase in stock price marks the need for Nintendo to step up their game and not just deliver when needed, but deliver with a bang. The company has two more years before their release date, and knowing Nintendo, they will absolutely deliver, perhaps not with a bang, but surely without compromise.
