Siri On Focus On iOS 9 Features Leaked

Apple notified that the Worldwide Developers Conference for this year, 2015, would start on June 8 until June 12 in San Francisco. WWDC has a lot of highlights in store for Apple users and developers. One of it is the unveiling of Apple's new version of mobile operating system, iOS 9 "Monarch", which introduces new features.

In a press release, Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing said, "We've got incredible new technologies for iOS and OS X to share with developers at WWDC and around the world, and can't wait to see the next generation of apps they create,"

Apple did not just solely focused on adding new features on the new version of iOS.

For the new operating system, iOS 9, has a "huge" focus on fixing bugs, maintaining stability, and boosting performance. It also includes under-the hood improvements. Aside from that, a redesigned Siri is claimed to be one of the changes for it. Apple's Siri, voice assistant, on iPhone and iPad will imitate the colorful look on Apple Watch wearers according to 9to5Mac last Tuesday, citing anonymouse sources.

Siri has been improved over the years but Apple faces greater competitions. Gene Munster, Piper Jaffray analyst, conducted an examination between Siri and Google Now last July. He found out that Google Now scores a little bit higher when it comes to accuracy. On the other hand, Cortana, Microsoft's voice assistant, is expanding. It aims to present a more integrated environment for mobile and PC users. With this some buyers might be persuaded to buy, with an installed Cortana, a Windows Phone handset.

After Windows 10 rolls out, Cortana will be coming its way to iOS devices, reported by Reuters last March, citing people who claim to have knowledge about the software. Siri would have to compete together with Google Now and Cortana, and it starts with its changes on iOS 9 and for iPhone and iPad users.
