After "hearing fans' excitement" over the game "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor," developer Monolith Productions and publisher Warner Bros., have decided to release the product a little earlier.
Initially set to launch on Oct. 7, "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" is based on the legendary fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien and presents a narrative between the events of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. The story also involves Rings of power but is independent of the "Lord of the Rings" storyline.

Gamers play as Talion, a slain ranger that was revived and given nazgul-like abilities by a mysterious Wraith that shares the protagonist's goal of getting revenge against the Dark Lord, Sauron.
The game is a third-person open-world video game, much like "Assassin's Creed" and "Watch Dogs," where the player has the freedom to finish side quests and wander around the virtual world.
People are allowed to create new characters and modify Talion as he starts on his quest throughout Mordor by using the Nemesis System, a system which remembers the gamer's previous actions with specific types of characters they meet in the game and then adjusts how the characters behave all through the game.
For example, enemies that survive may also develop storylines; an orc thrown into a fire by the player might have its own personal quest to seek revenge against the gamer for being burned and disfigured.
The player can choose abilities among the two distinct skill trees, one as a wraith and one as a ranger. The Wraith abilities allow the player to dominate the will of his enemies and have the weak-willed gather information for the protagonist, spread accounts of Talion to decrease morale or even assassinate their leader. The ranger skill tree, on the other hand, focuses more on stealth.
The Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions of the game will be launched on Sept. 30, while the Steam and Windows versions will be released on Oct. 2.
