Everything is cool between Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, according to the latter's ex-girlfriend, who wished him well in his marriage with Nikki Reed.

When Dobrev announced that she was leaving the hit supernatural drama series after six years, people were quick to speculate that it had something to do with Ian Somerhalder's relationship with Nikki Reed, but that proves to be completely untrue.

In fact, Dobrev said that she is extremely happy for her ex, who tied the knot with fellow actress Nikki Reed in an intimate ceremony just this past month.

In an interview with E! News, Dobrev clarified to Maria Menounos that she and Ian Somerhalder did not part ways because something bad has happened or because "there wasn't love or friendship" anymore. She said that she still loves and cares about Somerhalder and revealed that they remain good friends.

The "Let's Be Cops" actress is even happy for her Ian Somerhalder and described his marriage to Nikki Reed as "beautiful."

"They look happy and I am happy, and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that," the 26-year old said.

Before that, she explained that it is only the media that creates drama. She said that she simply ignores the drama everyone is trying to stir up just because they are on a teen drama show.

Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder started dating in the latter part of 2010 and decided to call it quits after more than three years of dating. Us Weekly reported about their breakup in May of 2013, in which a source claimed that they are still best friends.

Then in January of this year, Ian Somerhalder proposed to the Twilight actress after dating her for six months. Nikki Reed first confirmed the news of her engagement at the Catdance Festival, where she gushed about her husband and said "he's so beautiful inside and out." 

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed tied the knot just this April in a beautiful ceremony at the Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga, California.
