Starting September, China Telecom will start selling Microsoft's Xbox One video game console in China.
China Telecom's plan of distributing the Xbox One is to seek growth from their value-added services.
On the other hand, Microsoft's branch in China wants a significant move to break into the world's largest consumer-electronics market.

China recently permitted Microsoft to sell its products in China after banning the sale of the Xbox and other video game consoles for a decade.
China Telecom will exclusively distribute the Xbox One in China. The mobile carrier said that Chinese consumers can now enjoy games and experience premium entertainment in the comfort of their homes by just signing up for the telecom company's broadband subscription contract.
The state-controlled mobile carrier experienced a drop in revenue. It plans to expand by offering new services like Internet TV services and smart home applications such as online learning and medical services via its broadband connections and e-commerce.
The plan will be advantageous for both companies. China Telecom could experience a boost in revenue and increase broadband users while Microsoft could have an access to the mobile carrier's more than 104 million broadband subscribers.
Both companies have not yet disclosed the exact selling price of the Xbox One or the exact date for launching the video gaming console in China.
Xbox One costs some US$500 in the United States.
Microsoft has not yet released a statement regarding the distribution of Xbox One in China.
