"The Big Bang Theory" writers and producers attended Friday's panel at the San Diego Comic Con to talk about the show's future.
The team behind the long-running CBS show fielded questions from the audience, but noticeably absent from the panel are "Big Bang" stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.

Steve Molaro, the writer and producer of "The Big Bang Theory," revealed that there will be a second version of Sheldon and Amy's first kiss.
In the last seven seasons of the show, the character of Penny always mentioned the movie "Serial Ape-ist: Monkey See, Monkey Kill," where she was one of the characters that the monkey killed.
During the Comic Con, the panel released a clip, containing a faux-trailer of the said movie.
"When we worked on the episodes where that show is talked about, every time we talked about it, we got more and more excited about how we wanted it to be a real movie," Wil Wheaton said. Wheaton is a regular guest, who plays as himself on the show.
When someone from the audience asked if Leonard and Penny will finally tie the knot after their season-seven engagement, Molaro said that there is no rush in the matter.
"They are engaged, but the wedding is some time off in the future. ... Penny's first goal is to put the date far enough in the future so everyone knows she's not pregnant," Molaro said.
Meanwhile, Parsons, Galecki, Cuoco, Helberg and Nayyar skipped the comic con panel following reports that they are still without contract for the show's eighth season. The stars, who play the characters of Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Howard and Raj, respectively, are allegedly negotiating for $1 million per episode pay for the next season.
Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy, and Melissa Rauch, who plays Bernadette, have already renewed their contract with Warner which includes pay increase.
The hit series will return on Sept. 22, before moving back to Thursdays starting Oct. 30 on CBC.
