Ever since, they reportedly seemed to have worked very hard to get their game right. In the recent game against the capitals, Derek Stepan from New York Rangers led the team to victory by scoring the winning goal, when the match went into overtime at 11:24. Now, the Rangers are all set to play the final games against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The first game is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 1 pm ET, according to USA Today.

Commenting on his match-winning performance, Stepan said that it was really a special feeling to have led the team to such a crucial win. However, he also said that from here on, they needed to invest more efforts in order to improve their game and emerge as better champions, as was quoted on Nypost. Meanwhile, Alex Ovechkin, captain of the Washington Capitals, said that even though they had lost this game, they would work harder to get back in form and win the series.

Wednesday's win was special for other reasons as well. With this match, the Rangers bounced back as the only team till date to come back from a 3-1 series deficit in consecutive seasons. Last time, the Rangers had weaved a similar miracle in the game against the Penguins.
