Manny Pacquiao has returned in the Philippines to his hometown as he will undergo a time to recover from his shoulder injury, and according to reports, he is considering to take a retirement.
Boxing Insider reported that in an interview, Pacquiao said that for the meantime he will focus on to recover from his shoulder injury and added that if the post-recovery surgery went well, he will announce if he will retire or continue his career in boxing.

He added that he is not saying that he is about to retire but added that it will be "near" as he is 36-years-old now and will be turning 37 this December. If he will continue his career, Pacman said that he does not want to talk about who he will be facing again in the boxing ring as he will just focus now to recover.
Meanwhile, Benigno Aquino III, the President of the Philippines, has said in a radio station that he thinks it will be the right time that the Filipino fighter will retire from his career and just think for his health over the ring glory, according to TMZ.
"One of the most tragic examples, perhaps, was when I saw (Ali) lighting the Olympic torch with his hand shaking," said Aquino.
He added that Filipino and other fans should understand that the "magic" will not last forever and they should allow the fighter to retire in peace. He also said that people should not push Pacquiao to take a rematch with Mayweather as he thinks that "we will not be showing a debt of gratitude to the person."
However, Hall of Famer Larry Holmes believed that Pacquiao will have another fight after his fight with Mayweather.
As of now, Pacquiao is in the Philippines and might return to Las Vegas for the check-up of his injury though the Nevada Athletic Commission wants to know what really happened to his injury.
Pacquiao has been defeated by Mayweather on May 2 at MGM Grand Arena, where the punch stats showed that Mayweather landed 148 punches out of 435 while Pacquiao landed 81 out of 429, cited Telegraph.
