Godzilla director Gareth Edwards couldn't come to the Hall H panel last Saturday at Comic-Con but he recorded and released a video message about his lineup of monsters for his monster sequel.
Legendary Pictures teased the audience with a trio of monsters for Godzilla 2, including old foe Rodan, Mothra and Ghidora, who are set to battle on with the lizard king.

Fans watched a teaser reel called "Classified Monarch Footage" which came out as if created in the '60s. Having a President John F. Kennedy voice over about the threats and dangers to humanity added to the teaser's quaint vibe.
After telling the audience that there was one more secret, an on-screen message appeared: "There were others."
Across a pterodactyl shadow appeared "CODENAME: RODAN"
Subsequently, a giant moth-like creature close-up was shown: "CODENAME MOTHRA"
Finally, a dragon figure with flashed edit cuts also appeared: "CODENAME: GHIDORAH"
The teaser concluded with the warning, "THREAT ASSESSMENT: CONFLICT INEVITABLE" before adding, "LET THEM FIGHT".
The first movie starred Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) who played the role of a scientist with a conspiracy theory, revealing the facts behind an accident at his nuclear power plant.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick Ass) and Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy) also starred in Godzilla, which is expected to cross the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office this week.
According to Legendary's Thomas Tull, "Toho has been very good to us," talking about the Japanese film company that started the legendary Godzilla in the '50s and is still the original rights holder to the movie.
After the presentation of the rampaging reptile's sequel, Legendary was not yet done.
Another teaser was shown, catching the audience's attention with whipping seas and an island of a thick, murky jungle and concealed creatures.
The next shot caught something big stirring followed by a dark profile of a giant ape arising, roaring, and beating his chest. The words "Legendary's Skull Island" also appeared.
According to Legendary's statement, a feature film based on the famed Skull Island, the picturesque origins of King Kong, is now in the works.
The movie will premiere on November 4, 2016.
