Another American doctor contracted the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia and was confirmed on Sunday.
Nancy Writebol, who works for the aid organization SIM in Liberia, is the second confirmed U.S. citizen to be infected with the virus, according to a news release by Samaritan's Purse.

Writebol, who has two children, was working for SIM and collaborated with a Samaritan's Purse/SIM team that treats Ebola patients in Monrovia.
Her age and hometown were not yet released.
The first U.S. citizen reported to have the disease was Dr. Kent Brantly, who worked with patients infected by the disease in Liberia. He tested positive for the virus on Saturday, according to Samaritan's Purse.
Brantly, 33, is currently being treated at local hospital in Monrovia. Brantly handles the case management of Samaritan's Purse.
He has been working with the organization since October. The charity post was a part of his doctoral residency program, said Samaritan's Purse spokeswoman Melissa Strickland.
Strickland added that Brantly has been actively working with the organization's medical team since he entered the treatment facility.
Brantly recognized the symptoms immediately so he was able to receive initial treatment for the virus. Early treatment is said to improve a person's chances, according to Strickland.
"We're hopeful, but he is certainly not out of the woods yet," she said.
Brantly's family has yet to comment on his situation.
Earlier this year, Brantly wrote on Samaritan's Purse about the organization's efforts to isolate the patients of Ebola.
"The hospital is taking great effort to be prepared," Brantly said. "In past Ebola outbreaks, many of the casualties have been healthcare workers who contracted the disease through their work caring for infected individuals."
According to Samaritan's Purse's website, Brantly used to work in Fort Worth, Texas, as a family physician.
Ebola virus is considered to be one of the most contagious virus in the world. The outbreak that began during the first quarter of the year has already killed 672 people in Africa. It is currently the largest outbreak ever recorded in history.
