Though news about the suicide only surfaced recently, Joseph Bennett, who is also an actor, died on April 13. The Sunday Mirror also reported that the family has already conducted his funeral.
Bennett, 44, was an English actor who starred in the movies Howards End, The Last Minute, Swing Kids, and TV shows such as The Young Indiana Jones and The Bill. Tragically, he was found at a park in South West London, hanging from a tree.
The Metropolitan Police Service, Scotland Yard, confirmed the news and announced that Bennett "was pronounced dead at the scene."
Bennett and Graham first met in a play in 2001 whose roles are brother and sister. After a year, the couple tied the knot in a very private and intimate ceremony in front of only two witnesses.
In a previous interview, Graham said that there have been others who asked for her hand in marriage, but she had always turned them down. However, "after eight months, he asked me to marry him and I immediately said "yes". I am nuts about him," she said of how she knew Joseph Bennett was the one.
Graham and Bennett's marriage lasted for 13 years. Graham is one of the most famous actresses in UK television. Just last month, Graham was officially cast in the sitcom Benidorm as Sheron Dawson.
