The Democratic People's Republic Of Korea, speculated to execute a top general last April 30, lambasted the South Korean press for 'hurting its highest dignity' after news was released about a senior defense official executed due to treason, according to Xinhua.
Hyon was allegedly caught napping during a military event, which led to his untimely demise.

Uriminzokkiri's editorial bureau, also the major publicity website of the Democratic People's Republic Of Korea, revealed that the South Korean Media are devising a 'war of the press' by sensationalizing the news of the North Korean government practicing 'purging' of its officials as a means of covering its weakness and promoting 'political terrorism'.
The website also heavily criticized Kim Moo-sung, a delegate of South Korea's Saenuri Party, for releasing a statement expressing that the government of DPRK is highly unstable and the only solution is Seoul's immediate preparation for the unification of the two divided countries.
Despite these statements given by Uriminzokkiri, there has been no word of confirmation whether Hyon Yong Chol's execution really happened.
South Korea's Intelligence Agency broke the news first during a parliament meeting. Analysts initially expressed their doubt over this information since Hyon Yong Chol was still seen during a propaganda broadcast last week.
North Korea typically stops broadcasting the images of public officials once they are executed.
There is also a clear precedent over this recent news since the agency also confirmed the execution of Kim Jong Un's uncle last 2011.
Pyongyang's vehement reaction towards the news incited doubt among the South Korean analysts since the first reaction was not denying the alleged execution.
Instead, North Korea attacked the South Korean media for degrading their country's dignity for the released news.
Analysts concluded that chances are indeed high that the news might be true after all.
