Barbed wire and warning signs did not stop the thrill-seekers of Oahu from enjoying slides at over 60 feet high on the steep tarp walls of the Waimanalo Reservoir which was made for irrigating 126 acres of agricultural land.
Videos and blogs about the reservoir went viral over the Internet about what is now dubbed as Hawaii's most outrageous and completely illegal 'slip and slide.'

Although warnings about its unlawfulness are highlighted in the posts, many still attempt at trespassing to enjoy the thrilling slide from the man-made reservoir managed by the Agricultural Resource Management Division (ARMD).
According to the Huffington Post, sliding down the reservoir won't be as much fun today since an ARMD statement revealed that the Waimanalo Reservoir is nearing its full capacity at 62 feet because of recent rainfalls, reaching 85 to 95 percent of completion.
Meanwhile, other reports show that the fun of sliding down the tarp walls is not without consequence. Some commented on videos that the plastic lining can cut the skin as you slide down the wall.
One even stated that he is now paralyzed from the neck down due to an accident that transpired when they attempted to slide down the reservoir's wall.
Although no deaths linked to the Hawaiian 'slip and slide' reservoir have been recorded, authorities warned daredevils against risking their lives for merely the adrenalin rush since there have been numerous reports of accidents due to similar activities done on other reservoirs.
