The smiling pop queen Beyonce was photographed roaming around Port-au-Prince, Haiti, wearing a T-shirt that sports the logo of her charity organization BeyGood.
Five years ago, Haiti was struck by a deadly 7.1 earthquake that claimed more than 300,000 lives. The damage caused by this catastrophe was irreparable, forcing many of its natives to relocate and densely populate certain impoverished areas.

According to Haiti Mission spokeswoman Sophie Boutaud de la Combe, the 20-time Grammy-winning songstress paid a visit on Saturday. Beyonce was on a mission to observe the progress that has been made since the earthquake in 2010. She also wanted to meet some of the victims and see how they are doing since that fateful day. Accompanying her was Valerie Amos, the United Nation's humanitarian affairs chief and emergency relief coordinator.
The country's capital has not been the same since the disaster that nearly destroyed all its buildings. Gael Turine, a photographer who spent the last 10 years covering the country, told TIME Magazine, "The wounds are still here, and everyone says that they're living in worse conditions than before."
The 33-year-old songstress with her dyed-blonde hair swept in a ponytail was also photographed as she happily distributed food and water to the local residents.
Beyonce's charity's mission, BeyGood, strives for awareness, especially after the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on Aril 25. According to the charity's website, Beygood is also committed to help Nepal in its immediate relief and long-term recovery. "This is an opportunity to join us and BeyGOOD to support the people of Nepal."
