The 'Careless Whispers' singer revealed this during a series of interviews he's been having for the promotion of his new single 'Feeling Good', a remake of the 1965 hit song by Nina Simone.
'Feeling Good' has been performed by various artists like Michael Buble, Muse and Cy Grant and written by Anthony Newley. George Michael's version is said to be released on August 11 this year.
The singer will also release a limited edition of his 16-track album 'Symphonica', first released in March. The new release will be in vinyl format, also to be released on August 11.
Wham! announced that they were going to disband in 1986 after making numerous hits and selling over 25 million albums, but it seems as if the singer regretted their decision to part ways with Andrew Ridgeley.
The 51-year old singer was able to sell over a hundred million records during his career.
Other reports say that peers to the renowned Wham! singer had been worrying about him for developing reclusive behavior over the past years. His friends are worried that he's 'gone off the radar' and hasn't been showing up consequent to the past few years which had been difficult for the singer.
George Michael has reportedly not been seen in public since May. He was then rushed to the hospital due to an undisclosed condition. The singer was photographed two months ago after he collapsed.
Over the years, George Michael had been arrested for drug possession on several occasions and he had been under a string of sicknesses. The singer almost died of pneumonia after falling into coma in 2011 while in Vienna.
George Michael revealed that he had ended his 15-year relationship with boyfriend Kenny Goss and had been involved in a road accident where he sustained head and neck injuries.
Other media outlets have reported that the singer only allows David Austin, his best friend and co-writer, to visit him at his London home.
George Michael took to social media on his last birthday on June 25, his last post being on Twitter where he wrote, 'Hello my lovelies, thanks to each and every one of you for my birthday messages. So happy, The Singing Greek!'
