The 2015 Billboard Music Awards just ended, with the big winners being Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, and Sam Smith. Another big winner was One Direction, not only for winning that night, but for winning the hearts of everyone.
During the acceptance speech for receiving the Top Duo or Group Billboard Music Award, Liam Payne, one-fourth of the now quartet One Direction, took the time to thank former band member Zayn Malik that, as Time suggested, provided solace for the distraught fans.

The message did not last for more than two seconds before the voice of the Directioner was drowned by the screams of the fans, but it was well-received by everyone, seeing that there was no more bad blood between the group and Zayn.
Zayn left the group last March halfway through a tour in the Philippines, with fans thinking that he was only worn out or fatigued from the constant touring. He then formally announced that he would quit One Direction, sparking controversy of a fallout or feuds between the members. The 2015 Billboard Music Awards was their first public appearance as a four-member band.
Initially troubled after Zayn first announced his departure, but in an interview with James Corden, Liam did say that the group knew what Zayn was feeling, reported The Mirror UK, since there are always parts of the job that he like and some parts that he did not.
The small gesture was enough to make fans forget the recent Twitter war that sparked between Louis Tomlinson and the former member, with fans saying it was all in the past.
On their current activities, People reported that the world-dominating boy band is recording at the moment, and come summer, they will be heading out the United States for a tour.
