Nina Dobrev, 26, was recently spotted in a sweet moment with Selena's ex, Zedd, 25. The problem is, Zedd is the ex of her BFF Selena Gomez.

The recent photo posted by Zedd was captioned, "Thanks for teaching me your selfie tricks @ninadobrev," the German-born musician wrote. "My eyes couldn't find the camera lens though."

Hollywood Life has learned that Dobrev is afraid of dating Zedd because of bestie Selena, who she has been a friend to for years. The pair could easily become the latest item in Hollywood, but it has just been weeks since Selena's breakup with the musician, according to Hollywood Life. Fortunately, fans of Selena and Nina's friendship need not worry since Nina's rep just confirmed to Hollywood Life that Nina is not dating Zedd.

"They are friends right now mostly because of different fears. Zedd thinks Nina is hot and would date her in a heartbeat. A few things are holding stuff back," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "He is scared to be in the tabloids again and she doesn't want to upset Selena."

It was during the Golden Globes in Jan. 11 that Nina was first seen hanging out with Zedd. At the same time, Zeddlena started posting PDA photos, thus confirming that they're dating.

Meanwhile, word is out that Justin Bieber is making efforts at getting back with Selena despite having been exes for a while. Rumors came after "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer split with Zedd. Bieber reportedly hopes that he still has a chance getting back together with Gomez, talking about her constantly whenever he has a chance.

Recently, Bieber was interviewed by Seventeen magazine about his love life and he revealed what he searches for in a girlfriend. Reports say he might be hinting at Selena in some of his answers.

Bieber has reportedly been texting Gomez quite often since seeing her at the Met Gala on May 4. An Us Weekly source said that the 21-year-old Canadian star "tried very hard" to have a chat with Gomez at the event but to no avail. The exes' contact had been quite short, according to Fashion & Style.
