As the world's largest food packaging enterprise, Tetra products are everywhere. the most common Yili and Mengniu's normal temperature milk in the box or the pillow pack uses Tetra Pak package. According to Tetra's official website information, now Tetra Pak has a total of 39 sales company, 42 package materials and block factory, and 8 filling machine assembly and procession equipment plant. Last year, the company produced a total of 173.2 billion pieces of package, offered 77.3 billion liters of liquid food products to global consumers, and its net sales revenue is about 11.155 billion euros.
Tetra has also drawn criticism of the market for such big sales. As early as 2003, a large domestic package enterprise had reported Tetra's abuse of monopoly and control behavior in the Chinese market. The enterprise said in an interview of that time, when they recommended their products to some dairy companies, many clients directly expressed their concerns that, if they used this enterprise's package, Tetra would terminate accessories supply and service.
It is understood that, the enterprise said that if food production enterprises chose Tetra Pak filling machine equipment, they had to choose Tetra Pak packaging materials. And in a pack of 2 yuan's 250 mililiters Tetra brick milk, there was at least 0.45 yuan for the package.
However, the anti-monopoly law of the country had not yet been issued at that time, so there's no result. Today, SAIC officially announced for the first time against Tetra Pak suspected of illegal behavior.
Tetra Pak China simply replied to Jinghua Times reporter in an interview yesterday, "We has been required by SAIC for the related information of the company's business in China. We'll give full cooperation. At present, we have no further information to reveal."
