"Destiny," Activision and Bungie's latest flagship open-world shooter, recently launched its second expansion pack, "House of Wolves." The massively multiplayer online (MMO) game's first expansion, "The Dark Below," left many fans exasperated with the fact that they had to haul out hundreds of hours grinding before they got even the tiniest chance of blasting their way through the new content, especially the mission "Crota's End."

Many frustrated players decided to take a hiatus from playing "Destiny," at least until the new expansion launched. Bungie assured gamers that now would be the best time to pick up their pulse rifles and start mowing down hoards of aliens once again. So how exactly does the new "Destiny" fare?
New Content
Bungie COO Pete Parsons said in a press statement that "House of Wolves" marks the game's 17th update within eight months since its launch in September 2014. Some of the new content gamers can expect it to include:
- Prison of Elders, a new co-op arena activity
- The Trials of Osiris, a new massive multiplayer event
- Level increase to light level 34
- The Reef, a new social space
- New story missions and quests
- New weapons, armor, and gear
- The Shadow Thief, a new Strike challenge
New Story
"House of Wolves" revolves around the Queen of the Awoken, whose battles with the treacherous humanoid Fallen race compels her to seek assistance from the guardians.
New Bounties
Even without buying the game, "Destiny" players could already access new bounties from Petra Venj, the Queen's emissary in the central Tower area. These bounties allow gamers to battle bosses for special items and engrams that could be exchanged for special gear in "House of Wolves."
The game is available for $20 as a standalone purchase, or $35 as part of an expansion pass. Bungie stated that "House of Wolves" would not be the game's last update. Developer will continue to support the expansion throughout summer, leading up to yet another, still unannounced major expansion.
