In an attempt to boost the sales of its flagship smartphone series, LG announced that it will soon release two more models to accompany the G4: the G4 Stylus and G4c. In what today is quickly becoming a trend among major players in the smartphone manufacturing industry, the announcement came just as the G4 officially rolled out into stores yesterday.

Both new variations of the Korean tech company's latest offering come with 3D pattern covers as well as a rear key that resembles the 5.5-inch G4 quite closely. The main difference in this aspect is the fact that the Stylus has a slightly bigger screen at 5.7 inches and 258ppi density, while the G4c will have a much smaller one at a fixed 50-inch screen and a pixel density of 294ppi.

The G4 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with X10 LTE processor with 3 GB of RAM capacity. On the other hand, both the Stylus and G4c only have 1 GB of RAM available. Both cheaper versions come with an Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system preinstalled, whereas the flagship model comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop with LG UX 4.0 on top of it.

Stylus wins the battle for photo quality over the G4c with its 13 MP LTE-enabled rear camera. The latter only has the standard 5 MP front cam and 8 MP rear camera. The stylus also has a more powerful battery at 3,000mAh, as opposed to the G4c's 2,540mAh.

As of today, LG still has not divulged the actual price and availability of the models. Most likely, pricing and carrier information will be announced locally right before it launches.
